THE RHYTHMS AND SOUNDS OF LATIN AMERICA
Nothing gets to the heart of a culture more than its rhythms and music.
Where better to celebrate the exhilarating and exotic sounds of Latin America than with two of the most exciting and innovative musicians working in the UK today; Venezuelan percussionist Wilmer Sifontes and Cuban born Marietta Veulens are now giving percussion workshops as part of the first project of Out of the Box’s new music program.
Come and discover your own inner rhythm, learn with other people and have fun!
SUMMER MUSIC WORKSHOP FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

SUITABLE FOR 9 – 15 YEAR OLDS
THE RHYTHMS AND SOUNDS OF LATIN AMERICA
Learn about and play a variety of Latin American musical instruments and on the last afternoon give a live performance in Bolivar Hall for your friends and family!
Play a Jam Block, a Gourd, Floor Tones, Chinese horn, Cowbells, Brazilian whistle,Congas, Bombo de Carnaval, use your voice, your hands!
Unleash the power of rhythm, touch the sound and feel the beat…
¡Salsa, Rumba, Danzón, Cha-cha-cha, Son, Comparsa, Mozambique!
¡Compose and perform your own percussive extravaganza!
